The 0741 from Birmingham with one stop at International is timed at 68 minutes. I have timed this train completely unchecked in 62 minutes. Non stop as HS2 will be could be 58 minutes. Allowing current trains capable of 140mph to do 140mph would save another 5 minutes. Is £17 BILLION going to be spent to save FOUR MINUTES? BARKING!
